📣 “After Fentanyl” by Rinaldas Tomaševičius is the best Lithuanian short of the year.
The documentary won the Best Short Film Award at the 𝟏𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬, the most important awards in the Lithuanian film industry.
🎥 The film is produced by Lineta Lasiauskaitė for Plopsas, and distributed by Esen Studios and Alpha Film.
Silver Crane Awards
The Silver Crane Awards is Lithuania’s main national film award, established in 2008 to celebrate excellence in the local film industry. Considered the Lithuanian equivalent of the Oscars, the event annually honors outstanding directors, actors, and technical professionals in categories ranging from feature films to documentaries and animation.
Synopsis
Fentanyl, the most popular street drug in Vilnius, is merciless to anyone who tries it. A film director attempts a noble mission. He discovers a group of drug addicts roaming the streets and begins to visit them consistently, with a vision to save at least one of them, even though they all have HIV, hepatitis and other diseases.
