Valga Hot Shorts
Valga Hot Shorts is a short film festival that takes place in the heart of summer in Valga. For one weekend each July, the town fills with film lovers and some of the best short films from Estonia and around the world. In addition to the main programme, the festival also offers a wide range of special programmes and events throughout the city of Valga. The festival was launched as part of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 programme.
The short film
“A lifelike fairy tale” is a short hybrid drama, all the characters in the film are real so it is balancing between docu-fiction and hybrid fiction. The film tells about a homeless family which lives comfortably in an abandoned house on the outskirts of Vilnius. One day the owner of the house returns from England and decides to take his house back.
