The 11th edition of the Sacramento Underground Film & Arts Festival (SUFAF) takes place from July 21 to 24, 2026, transforming California’s capital into a vibrant hub for international independent cinema.
The festival focuses on avant-garde and underground works, as well as innovative multimedia formats, from around the globe.
Synopsis of the film
Hundreds of thousands of children from areas contaminated by the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster found hospitality in Italy thanks to the “Solidarity Reception Projects.” Some of the protagonists look back on that experience, which changed their lives. Stories sometimes marked by pain but later transformed into hope by the love of families who opened their hearts and homes.
