Three awards at the 31th SanGiò Verona Video Festival for three titles from the Alpha Film distribution catalogue:

– “Le cicogne di Chernobyl” (The Storks of Chernobyl) by Karim Galici wins the Best Direction Award – feature film

“It offers an interesting scheme that unfolds in a story of a life lived beyond all expectations.”;

– “Variazioni fantastiche su eventi realmente accaduti a Torino nel 1911” (Fantastic variations on events that really happened in turin in 1911) by Giulio Maria Cavallini wins the Best Direction Award-short film

“Giulio Maria Cavallini sensitively directs Emilio Salgari’s near-death tale, transforming it into a powerfully intense visual and audio experience. Through a refined interplay of temporal and acoustic perspectives, the director intertwines reality and imagination, coherently and poetically conveying the torment and grandeur of his protagonist.”;

– “Latte e biscotti” (Milk and cookies) by Sabrina La Macchia receives a Special Mention

“For the juxtaposition of fairy tale and reality and the metatheatrical and pop interpretation that transports the audience from the world of childhood to contemporary society, addressing the issue of violence against women with harsh yet imaginative language.”
