“The ninth course” by Domenico Bruzzese, Bruno Ugioli and Mauro Mola wins the mention as Best Mokumentary, the mention People’s Choice and the mention Student’s Choice in the Live Action Short Film category at the 3. Cortocircuiti, Bari, Italy.

3th Cortocircuiti

The LBM Group, La Box Blu and Armata Brancaleone APS have jointly promoted the third edition of the CORTOCIRCUITI Festival. The selected short films were publicly screened at ExpostModerno, Bari, at the end of July 2023 as part of the “Festa del Cinema in Libertà” Festival, organized by Armata Brancaleone APS.

The short film

The Ninth Course is a fairy tale enclosed in a documentary. A surreal story, which through the imagination speaks to us of our daily reality. With the language of the mockumentary and the lens of irony, the film tell the relationship between humans and animals. A relationship made up of selfishness, prevarication and exploitation. The actors, all non-professionals, helped to add spontaneity and inventiveness to the story, contributing to blur the distinction between reality and fantasy.
