The short films “Birthmarked” by Mehrshad Golkarian and “Sky(pe)” by Riccardo Menicatti and Bruno Ugioli are in the official selection of 7th Aaretaler Kurtzfilmtage. The festival will take place from 8 to 10 November 2024 in the city of Münsingen, Switzerland.
This will be the Swiss premiere for both films.

The Aaretalerkurzfilmtage is one of the cutest short film festivals in Europe! – “Small is beautiful” is their motto.
The screening takes place in 6 different rooms spread across the historic center of Münsingen, Switzerland. With this event they want to offer a respectful platform to independent short film directors. There will be no competition: every film is the best!
The short films in competition
“Birthmarked” by Mehrshad Golkarian is a story of Fatemeh, a 14-year-old girl with a birthmark on her left breast, who is forced by her father to marry a suitor at such young age. Dissatisfied with this, she orchestrates a bold action to prevent this early marriage.
“Sky(pe)” by Riccardo Menicatti & Bruno Ugioli is a story of a father that manages to video-call his son from heaven.
