“Glitter Kiss” by Augustė Gerikaitė has been nominated among the best short films of 2025 by Talking Shorts.

The short film, produced by Lineta Lasiauskaitè for Plopsas in collaboration with LMTA, was selected in the Top 3 by Laurence Boyce, Head of Programme at PÖFF Shorts and journalist. His motivation reads:

“A film I don’t think has got its due, this is a dark and intense focus on an unlikely relationship forged in a violent act. Clever directing and strong acting in a timely story that’s never over insistent.”

“Glitter Kiss” is distributed by Alpha Film, an Esen Studios catalogue.

Synopsis of the film

After discovering a brutally beaten drag queen Klaudijus, in his apartment building, homophobe Rolandas reluctantly takes him to the hospital and becomes his first response. As the police investigate and Klaudijus’ life hangs in the balance, Rolandas is forced to rethink his beliefs.
