CortoDino Film Festival

The CortoDino Film Festival is a competition born from the desire to commemorate and celebrate the figure and work of Dino De Laurentiis.
The initiative aims to be the primary opportunity for young filmmakers entering the film industry to meet, discuss, and learn more. The illustrious “Torrese” director’s influence has undoubtedly been significant, promoting film culture through the inclusion of disadvantaged audiences and the exploration and promotion of works by Campanian, national, and international talent.

Synopsis of the film

Hundreds of thousands of children from areas contaminated by the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster found hospitality in Italy thanks to the “Solidarity Reception Projects.” Some of the protagonists look back on that experience, which changed their lives. Stories sometimes marked by pain but later transformed into hope by the love of families who opened their hearts and homes.
