Matera Film Festival
Founded in 2019, the Matera Film Festival will celebrate its 6th edition in 2025. This event represents the link between the city and cinema, between the past and its future identity. Since its first edition, the festival has been characterized by transmedia and a focus on new languages that also pertain to the world of cinema, such as music, comics, literature, gaming, animated films, new technologies, and AI.
The short film
“A lifelike fairy tale” is a short hybrid drama, all the characters in the film are real so it is balancing between docu-fiction and hybrid fiction. The film tells about a homeless family which lives comfortably in an abandoned house on the outskirts of Vilnius. One day the owner of the house returns from England and decides to take his house back.
